What happens at Boomerang? Each session is fun filled and action packed - all geared towards the age of your child. Sessions are led by gifted children's & youth workers, and small groups are run by a fantastic team of fully CRB checked & trained volunteers. Sessions include games, crafts, quizzes and prizes, inflatables, songs, drama and sport, plus a drink and snack. Our fun theme for 2012 is The Olympics! We will also be exploring stories from the Bible - in a fun and relevant way. Who runs Boomerang?Boomerang is organised and run by Locks Heath Free Church, supported by the other Western Wards Churches. All volunteers are fully CRB checked and have all attended training sessions. What security checks are in place? All volunteers have had a full CRB check, and references have been taken up. Volunteers must also attend a training session before serving at Boomerang. All volunteers working at Boomerang can be easily identified through volunteer t-shirts, displaying our logo. When your child attends Boomerang each day, there will be a registration procedure in place at each venue. All children must be collected by a responsible adult (over 18 years old) at the end of each session. Contact details for parents/guardians will be taken from the children's application form. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure this form is up to date. At each of our venues, a security team will be in place to ensure the safety and security of all children and volunteers on site. At St Anthony's School, the security team are also responsible for car parking on site (particularly for parents of children aged 0 - under 4 years, who need to stay on site at all times).
